Established in 2024, The Investment Office was created to internally manage the University’s assets with a dual mandate: preserving purchasing power and generating current income to support HKU’s long-term vision. The office takes a balanced approach that addresses both present needs and future objectives, structuring the endowment as a globally diversified portfolio spanning public and private markets across multiple asset classes.
Led by a team of experienced investment professionals, the Investment Office is committed to supporting HKU’s continued ascent as a world-leading institution. Through disciplined asset allocation and rigorous investment strategies, the office works to ensure financial sustainability that empowers the University to advance its mission of transforming humanity’s future through groundbreaking research, education, and innovation.
